HYDROPOWER
The electricity produced with hydropower plants in South Eastern Europe is equivalent to the consumption of around 33,000 households.

Kelag proceeded with South Eastern Europe in 2009. First our company acquired the hydroelectric plant Lumbardhi in Kosovo and later the company Interenergo doo based in Ljubljana / Laibach. The Interenergo d.o.o. operates in Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia and Kosovo in electricity trading and develops hydropower projects. More selective investments were made gradually.

The hydropower plant Belaje, as a second power plant of the chain at the river Bistrica Decanska, was put into operation in summer  2014.

Hydropower Plant Lumbardhi
The power plant Lumbardhi was built in 1957 and was completely renovated by a private investor in 2005. After the acquisition in 2009 by the Energy KelKos Sh.pk, Kelag carried out minor technical adaptations.
Currently, one lower power plants (HPP Decan 12.9 MW) is in construction. The construction of a storage power plant is planned.
